Article Processing Charge (APC) List Pricing
ACM enables authors to make their published articles Open Access immediately upon publication in the ACM Digital Library.
The pricing below is valid for all open access publications:
| Authors | List Price | ACM / SIG Member Price |
|---|---|---|
| Journal Article | $1800 | $1300 |
| ACM Proceedings Article | $1000 | $700 |
| ICPS Proceedings Article | $1000 | $700 |
| Proceedings of the ACM Article | $1000 | $700 |
The APC List Price reflects the actual cost of publishing and hosting an individual article in the ACM Digital Library.
From 2013 to 2024, the APC prices remained unchanged. In 2025, there was a modest $100 increase to support the long-term sustainability and stability of ACM’s publishing program.
The 2026 subsidized APC rates, funded by ACM, are temporary and intended to support a smooth transition to ACM Open. Please note the temporary subsidized prices are below the actual cost of publishing an ACM article.
ACM encourages institutions participating in ACM Open not to compare the subsidized pricing with their ACM Open Tier Price. Once the subsidies are removed, APCs will return to the standard list prices shown above.
Please visit ACM Open for Authors for more information and 2026 subsidized pricing.

Written by leading domain experts for software engineers, ACM Case Studies provide an in-depth look at how software teams overcome specific challenges by implementing new technologies, adopting new practices, or a combination of both. Often through first-hand accounts, these pieces explore what the challenges were, the tools and techniques that were used to combat them, and the solution that was achieved.
